Man on the run
A portion of the Tenderloin is currently closed to traffic while police investigate a triple shooting that sent three women to the hospital this afternoon.

According to Sgt. Daryl Fong, the shooting happened just after 1 p.m. on the corner of Ellis and Leavenworth. When police arrived, they found three women with gunshot wounds to their lower body. All three were taken to San Francisco General Hospital and are expected to survive.

"It was not a random shooting," Fong told us.

Police told the Chron that one of the victims might be the shooter's ex-girlfriend. However, Fong said they weren't 100 percent positive of this, and were not prepared to confirm those reports.

Meanwhile, the shooter is still on the lam, and traffic is being diverted.

Hello, not sure I understand this. Did the man shoot three women in the geographic region of the Tenderloin? Or did he shoot them in the tender loins? Feel like headline should be updated ASAP to reflect whichever version is true. Thank you for your time.
