A 24-year-old San Francisco man is recovering from a head injury Friday after he was hit with a baseball bat and robbed in the city's Oceanview neighborhood.

According to Sgt. Daryl Fong, the victim was walking at Lobos and Plymouth at about 3 a.m. today when a man approached him and demanded cash. The victim refused to give him money and the two got into a physical fight.

At that time, a second man pulled up in an older, black 2-door car, got out, and swung a bat at the victim's head.

The two robbers took the man 's wallet, including his money, driver's license, and credit card before fleeing. The first suspect ran west on Lobos and the second suspect got back into the car and drove west on Lobos.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, but is expected to survive.
