Tea Party to Land in San Francisco Waving NOBAMA Foam Fingers
| Okay, fine, but are they at least Giants fans? |
Those obnoxiously hardcore conservatives are planning to flood Justin Herman Plaza on Saturday, where 10 Bay Area Tea Party groups will spend three hours demonstrating ... oh, where to start?
"The whole world knows it's crazy here," according to a flyer from the group. "San Francisco is symbolic: the cradle for progressivism in America."
The Tea Party claims this demonstration, which starts at 1 p.m., will be a "head-turner," although its only real plan of action is to stand on the Embarcadero and wave around "NOBAMA 2012" foam fingers.Sounds like they could really use some pointers from Occupy SF on how to protest in the park.
Yes, you can expect to hear some lamenting about Obamacare to accompany those foam fingers. The flyer also says the TP will feature participants telling their own stories. Here's a video made by the Tea Party to give you the gist of what's to come:
But back to those foamy Obama fingers. Here's what we want to know: What good will it do to wave around what are traditionally baseball props, especially during the second game of the Giants' Opening Week?
