Sierra LaMar: Reward for Missing Teen Increases to $25K
| Sierra Lamar |
Earlier this month, LaMar's family offered a $10,000 reward, saying it would be given to the first person who provides information that will help bring LaMar back to her family alive. LaMar was last seen on the morning of March 16 when she was supposed to catch her bus for school. However, she never made it to classes that day, and nobody has seen or heard from her since. Police believe LaMar was kidnapped, possibly by someone she knows.
Authorities have continued an extensive search for LaMar, whose cellphone and purse with her clothing inside were found on the side of the road -- in the opposite direction of her school bus. They later found an empty handcuff box and two used condoms near her Morgan Hill home, which were sent to the DNA lab. Police say the results revealed new information in the case, but wouldn't specify what.
Meanwhile, volunteers continued searching for LaMar over the weekend, and divers recently scoured nearby waters, with no success of finding the teen.
