How technology can help bring Sierra LaMar home
Police are desperate to find 15-year-old Sierra LaMar so much so that they have issued a "QR" code (short for "quick response"), which allows anyone with a smartphone to download information about the missing teen.

The code has been released on missing posters of LaMar, making all information about LaMar and the circumstances of her disappearance portable.

Here's how it works:

Make sure your smartphone is equipped with a free QR code app, then point the phone's camera at the image on the poster you see and it will link you directly to a website with more photos of LaMar, information, and hotline phone numbers to call.

Once a QR code is created, it can be directed to Leafs, vCards, Youtube videos, URLs, Facebook, or can download files.

So if you come across a Sierra LaMar poster with a QR Code, here's what information you can quickly get on your phone: http://uqr.me/missing-sierra-lamar.

QR codes on posters have become the new milk cartons for missing children. It means people can access the information online easier and share it among their friends and family faster, with the hope that LaMar can be found as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, police resumed a search this morning for LaMar, who was last seen on the morning of March 16. The Sobrato High School sophomore was supposed to catch her school bus that morning, but she never made it to class. Police later found her cellphone and purse with her clothing inside tossed on the side of the road in the opposite direction from her bus stop.

Last week, volunteers came across disturbing evidence that led police to believe she was almost certainly abducted: an empty handcuff box and two used condoms.

If you have any information about Sierra LaMar please call (408) 808-4500 during business hours, (408) 299-2311 after hours, or the anonymous tip line at (408) 808-4431. Text messages can be sent to (408) 421-6760. E-mail tips to tips@sheriff.sccgov.org.

This chicks Twitter screams dangerous . In love with being high at 15? Always a deeper meaning to everything. I hope they find her safe.

I dont know why no body has pointed out the fact that this girl is a druggy. Just go look at her twitter. I bet she met with someone to do drugs, than overdosed, and the person she was with got scared so they dumped the body somewhere. Im not trying to be morbid, and i do hope and pray she is still alive but just look at her lifestyle habbits. Your lifestyle determines your deathstyle.

Makes sense. That is one of my original theories. And yes, her twitter screams dangerous. It screams she was addicted to drugs, alcohol, etc. but maybe it screams deeper issues, maybe problems at home either due to her behavior, or behavior from mom/bf. Sometimes when searching for reasons, and asking ”why”, the answers to these questions may in fact be closer than you think, meaning her mom was supposively last one to see her that morning, or possibly the bf... Either one or the both. And defensive behavior and lying in that statement suggests she knows more than what she's telling, after all, in a busy town filled with civilians, children, cars, busses, bicycles, etc, her belongings were found much later? Someone placed these items. I doubt forensics has a new lead, that they're leaving anonymous. It is a well-known tactic used to make someone sweat. Maybe they have a person/people of interest , And are watching for a reaction!¿!? I hope for Sierra's sake, for the family's sake they do. And people shouldn't get offended by speaking the truth. And the truth is this girl is a foul mouthed, drug and alcohol addicted girl, with a promiscuous attitude, lacked compassion for anyone but herself. Its all in her twitter postings, so how are others to say that what they say in regards to that is anything but the truth?? One of her last posts read ”I get my d*ck licked” . Good job Sierra. Im sure someone wanted to see how this girl measured up to her words and behaviors. And in todays world her behavior is COMMON but NOT NORMAL. A normal girl her age is into sports, is polite and courteous, and isn't in love with being high... It would be the opposite. And to further my statement with bullet proof backup, she even said herself in a tweet that she wonders if she would be NORMAL if she wasn't high all the time, and another read how she wanted a pinata for her bday to be filled with weed and mini alcohol bottles. Not NORMAL wishes for a 15 year old girl. I do believe her behavior caught up with her. She willingly got into a car without considering consequences. Im also leaving toward moms bf coming back to give her a ride, and he did whatever with her. Im not being mean, but either someone got tired of her and shut her up, or she may have had an o.d and the person dumped her. But I can only believe that so far to a point before it wouldn't make sense as to why she would be hidden so well, if it was an accidental death, if she is indeed passed on. That person would want her to be found. And I do believe they made a mistake letting the public know of water searches. If she isn't gone yet, IF, whoever did it will put her there because its already been searched. On that thought, I do believe the lead has to do with one of the cars found in the reservoir..if there is an actual new lead, that will be it. And I doubt she will be found in water. I Live on the East coast plenty far from there, but I have the tendency to think outside the box. I have an ability to think in the shoes of others. I don't believe this was a random act, I don't believe she will be found in water, and I do believe searchers may have over looked her already. Whoever did this is familiar with her, meaning familiar with the area. As I said, sometimes the answer may be closer than you think. The purse and bag were found in the open, in the direction of where she may possibly be found. Just an idea, but did anyone check the moms house, bf house, new construction areas.. I mean thoroughly search the areas?? What about the bf car, the moms car? Cadaver dogs shoulda been used to detect a fresh scent in cars.. and who says for sure she didn't tweet just hours ago. Don't assume everything a hoax. I hope Sierra is safe. I really do hope she is alive and well. I hope she comes home. losing a child is the most horrid thing. But I truly feel the only way age were typo come home or be found shove would be if she left willingly. And if she did and she knows what's going on, someone outta send her butt to jail for causing this nationwide stir-up. That would be a very selfish, careless act. And I wouldn't be surprised of that was a possibility as well. God Bless Sierra and family. She is such a young girl, pretty, and she has her whole life in front of her. I am praying for a safe return of Sierra.

a lot of her tweets are quotes from rap songs. "I get my dick licked". the other content of her tweets come off more as sarcasm. She's a teenager, teenagers drink and have sex. as far as her being in love with being high, she doesn't specifically mention any substances. she could be just high on life.

And also, if you read it enough to know alot of her quotes were from rap, how did you miss the tweets where she said she did drugs?? How did you miss those?? Still, wherever they came from, nonetheless that is not anything a 15 year old girl should be tweeting. Period.

Then she wouldn't be wondering what it would be like to be normal if she wasnt, according to you, just ” high on life”. Please, please go back and read her twitter . Read it carefully. She mentioned weed, MARIJUANA, that herb you roll / pack and smoke!! Then come back to revise your original statement.!! With your inability to carefully study detail I hope two things for you .. The first, don't EVER try to be in law enforcement and all that it applies to, 2) don't by any means, volunteer to search for this girl. Please, don't do any of the above!!! And I hope you have no children, as you seem carefree, and think its ok for teens to drink, do drugs, and have sex. These reasons may very well play a role in her disappearance.

Sorry for the few typos, my stupid smart phone thinks its smarter than me and puts words in that I didn't intentionally write. *I meant to write ” the only way she comes home alive would be if she left willingly.** but that's not even a guarantee.

I don't think that it matters if she used drugs or not , only matters that she's a teenager normal girl that has been abducted and needs to be found soon . Hope she's okay nd come home to her family safe.

Morgan- This was a young, normal teenage girl, not a "druggy." I believe your imagine is working overtime on this one.

Sierra's mother just said on Nancy Grace that her boyfriend left for work (the morning Sierra goes missing,) BEFORE she went to work and then she said her boyfriend left AFTER she went to work. WHICH IS IT MOMMY????? Did your boyfriend leave BEFORE IS AFTER you went to work??? And mommy gets very very defensive when being asked about her boyfriend. This is very suspicious to me. Mommys first husband was a sex offender. This is very weird. VERY WEIRD.

To my knowledge, there has been no reward offered for either the safe return or information leading to Sierra's location. If there is not a reward currently being offered, how can a person go about starting one?

Candiavla......there is a $10,000 reward for the safe return of Sierra Lamar. From what I have read, this reward is coming directly from Sierra's family.

I asked that question the day before they announced the reward. I sure hope it brings some information, any information would be better than the nightmare her parents are living.

This Message Goes Out ToThe Person Who Has Taken Sierra Lamar:

I strongly feel that you arewatching from a distance, and that you have heard Sierra’s family, friends andthe community plea for answers. Only God and you know what has happened, andwhere she is. We have faith in our God, and know in our hearts that He will oneday bring her home. If you have hurt Sierra, God holds her in his loving arms, and any pain you may have caused is no more. If you have taken her from thisearth and her precious life, God has taken her home. If you have held heragainst her will, and she is okay, please let her go. I feel that you are outthere completely alone, and wondering what to do next. I can guarantee that youhave closely watched the news, and even been online reading the thousands ofposts via Facebook, Twitter, etc… Did you happen to watch the video that Sierra’sfriend made? Now that you have gotten a glimpse into her life, you truly knowhow beautiful, young and full of life she is, or was. We have so manyquestions. Did you plan this? Was it random? What exactly happened thatmorning? Do you have family? I know that you must, and I’m wondering how youwould feel if this were your daughter, sister, mother, niece, or wife? Pleasetake a moment and put yourself in Sierra’s shoes, and that of her mothers. Surelyyou would want your loved one safe, and never put in the position in which youhave placed Sierra. If your loved one were out there alone in some unknownlocation, possibly alive, possibly not, wouldn’t you want her found? Would yoube able to sleep at night, eat, or even find the strength to breath? Did yousee the pain in her mother’s eyes? She has lost her precious baby. Only you cangive her the answers that she so desperately needs. I know that you don’t wantto be caught, or spend your life in prison. I know that you don’t want to liveeternally in hell. Let me ask you this. When you are caught, let’s say that youhad a choice, and there are two people standing in front of you. One being God,and the other a judge. The judge tells you that you must go to prison for, let’sjust say twenty years, and God tells you that He will give you two options. Heoffers you the choice of eternal hell, or forgiveness by repenting andpaying your dues ordered by the judge, allowing you to one day be with himeternally. Which would you choose? Because, you see, you do have that choice. No matter what, whether it is sooner or later, you will have to answer, bejudged and face the consequences of what you have done. Your choice is not inwhich of the two shall judge you, but in how you shall be judged. Do youunderstand? Please do the right thing. Bring Sierra home. Yes, many people willbe angry at you, and some will never forgive you. But true forgiveness onlycomes from God, and it is HE that you should fear, no one else. If you regretyour actions, and wish you could bring her back, do so. You know deep in yourheart that you will not get away with this. Law enforcement is looking for you,and God is watching you. If you do not regret your actions, believe in God, orcare about your own future, we still beg that you do the right thing. Please, please do not let Sierra’s parents struggle one more day to simply breath andpush forward, not knowing where their baby girl is. Sierra is their child. Thereare no words to explain the bond between a mother and her child. When you tookSierra, you took a huge part of her parents. You took from all of us. I do noteven know Sierra, yet my heart is breaking over this. So you can imagine thepain her parents must feel. Go online, and watch the video of her mom pleadingfor her return. Look into her eyes and feel her pain. Only you can prevent herfrom having to wait one more day. If you continue to stand aside, and attemptto hide, it will only be that much worse on you when you ARE caught. If youcome forward, or at least let her location be known, it may help your case.Trust me sir, judgment IS coming your way. You’re not stupid; you knowperfectly well that forensics will eventually expose you. You know that it iscoming and that there is no place on earth that you can hide. We beg you, please, please come forward, or make Sierra’s location be known. Please.
