Police Arrest Tons of Wanted Fugitives in 10-Hour Sting Operation
| Worked hard this week |
Police Chief Greg Suhr proudly announced today that San Francisco police arrested 72 suspects in a 10-hour sting on Wednesday, with the help of sheriff deputies, state parole agents, and officers with the San Francisco Adult Probation Office.
Of those who were arrested, 17 are on active parole and 50 were booked for felony charges or felony warrants. Another five were arrested on misdemeanor charges or misdemeanor warrants, according to Suhr.
Suhtr explained that this kind of sting operation is going to be a regular thing around San Francisco. "Targeted enforcement such as fugitive apprehension is a key piece of our violence reduction strategy," he said.
