Nancy Pelosi Is Least-Liked Congressional Leader, Poll Shows

The survey asked 1,000 likely voters their impression of House Minority Leader Pelosi, Speaker John Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. None of them did particularly well; however, the Republican pair fared much better than the Democratic duo.
Boehner was the most liked, with a favorable rating of 37 percent and an unfavorable rating of 42 percent. McConnell was the least disliked, with an unfavorable of 36 percent and a favorable of 32. Reid had 48 percent unfavorables and 27 percent favorables.
All told, Pelosi's 31 percent favorability was 29 points lower than her unfavorable rating, the greatest disparity among the group.
In the meantime, congressional stalemates over the debt ceiling, budget cuts, tax raises, infrastructure funding, entitlement reform, and various other governance have become the equivalent of losing your stepdad's Babe Ruth-autographed baseball.
