Richmond District Neighbors Turned Off by Mobile Stripper Truck

We already know Supervisor Eric Mar is no fun

You think a late-night Jack in the Box makes the Richmond District so nefarious, try adding a mobile stripper truck to the mix.

It appears the Larry Flynt's Hustler Club employee who drives the club's mobile strippers around town does sleep -- in the Richmond District. Or at least that's where he's parking the titillating truck overnight. According to CBS, the employee has been leaving this truck pictured above at the corner of 37th Avenue and Balboa, which is apparently too close to home for some neighbors.

Of course, Supervisor Eric Mar, who is a total killjoy, already managed to have the truck towed for expired tags. And if that doesn't send the message, he's already working on some legislation to ensure this kind of sex object stays out of his district.

"If you look inside there's a pole so some women can dance around it, as this thing drives around the street," Mar observed. "We don't want this truck in our neighborhood."

Speak for yourself. CBS did its own polling of neighbors in the area, and sure, reporters found some who were a little concerned that this truck was parked near a local library. But they also found plenty who agree with this guy: "I don't think it's especially lewd," one older gentleman told CBS.

And this guy: "I think there's more important things going on in the world than worrying about a vehicle like this."

Yeah, like how many calories are in a Happy Meal.

It's hilarious! I've seen it when it was parked about 1/2 a block from the library! Now that i think about it, he was about 1 block from Lafayette Elementary School! Is that worse than a taco truck?... hmm..... Perhaps Supervisor Mar can attack the mobile stripper trucks like the Un-Happy Meal!

Supervisor Mar is trying to have the truck (re)moved because his constituents have complained about it. That's what a supervisor is supposed to do. Its probably more vulgar than obscene; but totally inappropriate to be parked by a library and elementary school in a quiet residential neighborhood.

I for one am very glad Supervisor Mar is trying to do something about it! The truck is parked almost directly across the street from a public library, which has many young children coming in and out of it all day long. It is also less than a block from a public elementary school! Hundreds of students and parents walk or drive by the truck on the way to and from school. It is completely inappropriate for this truck to be parked so close to an elementary school and library. Cover the damn thing up or move it even a block away, out of plain view from so many young children! (Btw, the pictures ARE lewd -- the girls barely have any clothes on! 5-11 year old boys and girls should NOT be seeing this sort of thing.)

So I'm supposed to feel sorry for them getting towed due to expired tags!? Gimme a break. That's totally deserved. If they got valid plates, tho, and a parking permit, seems like they can park where they like.
