Man vs. car
Police are asking for the public to be on the look out for a white, two-door sedan which they say is responsible for a hit-and-run accident that occurred in SOMA this afternoon.

At about 2:05, a 35-year-old man was walking on Second and Bryant streets when he was hit by a driver in a white sedan. The driver left the scene, and was was last seen heading toward the Bay Bridge, Officer Carlos Manfredi told us.

Manfredi had no more details about the accident, nor could he provide us with the victim's condition. However, police have alerted the California Highway Patrol, and officers are traversing the roads looking for the car, which also has front-end damage, Manfredi says.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information about the incident is asked to call the anonymous tip line at 575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411.
