You should make this your profile picture
Researchers in Illinois have revealed the not-so-staggering news that the more time you spend interacting on Facebook, the bigger the asshole you truly are.

According to the The Guardian, researchers at Western Illinois University studied the Facebook habits of some 300 people between the ages of 18 and 65, and found that those who score highly on the Narcissistic Personality Inventory questionnaire had more friends on Facebook, tagged themselves more often, updated their newsfeeds more regularly, and changed their profile picture more often.

Narcissists? Maybe. Bored? Definitely.

Researchers linked these obnoxious Facebooking behaviors to "socially disruptive" elements of narcissism, including "self-absorption, vanity, superiority, and exhibitionistic tendencies." The people who score high in the narcissism category on the personality test also tend to leave too much information on their pages. Why do they do this? Because they can't handle being ignored -- not even for a minute, researchers concluded.

To put this into context: These are the same people who post pictures of the banal food they are eating at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are also the same folks who have collected some 800 "friends," many of whom they don't even know.

We thought this was entertaining "news." Feel free to post this article on your Facebook page.
