America's Cup: SF Weekly Reporter on the Air

Categories: Media
Now a smaller wave?
This week, the evolving America's Cup deal underwent a sea change. A proposal to reimburse Larry Ellison's America's Cup Event Authority to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars via long-term leases for waterfront property was abruptly curtailed; now the city and race organizers are wrangling over the terms of a deal that may end up entailing perhaps one-tenth the public investment.

Obviously, much is up in the air -- but, this much is for certain. There's plenty to talk about.

SF Weekly's Joe Eskenazi is a scheduled guest on tonight's 6 p.m. broadcast of League of Pissed Off Voters Radio on Mutiny Radio -- the successor of Pirate Cat Radio.

Interested parties can listen to the show live at this link, and download an eventual podcast at this one.

Eskenazi earlier appeared on KQED's Forum to discuss the Cup deal. You can hear a podcast of that show here.
