Hundreds of airline passengers were evacuated from an SFO boarding area this morning after airport security reported a suspicious package.

At about 11:17 a.m., Delta passengers loading in Boarding Area C of Terminal 1 were evacuated. SFO employees alerted San Francisco police, who called in the bomb squad to inspect the questionable package, said SFO spokesperson Michael McCarron.

As of 1 p.m., police were still screening the package, McCarron said.
