Police say they have arrested Pedro Zaldana-Ortiz on suspicion of stabbing to death 25-year-old Nelson Henriquez during an argument in the Outer Mission last week.

According to Sgt. Daryl Fong, homicide investigators located Zaldana-Ortiz on Sunday on the 1000 block of South Van Ness. He was taken into custody and booked into San Francisco County Jail.

Henriquez was found on Thursday at about 9:20 p.m., lying on the street near the unit block of Regent Street, with stab wounds to his chest. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he later died.

The stabbing was San Francisco's third homicide this year. The last homicide was on Jan. 19, when Rory Jones, an Oakland man, was shot to death while sitting in his car. According to police, the shooter asked Jones if he had any "weight," a street term for drugs. When Jones said he didn't, the man shot him and fled.
