Occupy Oakland Attempts to Storm City Hall, Occupy Mayor Jean Quan's Office

It seems that Occupy Oakland's initial intent to dismantle big banks has shifted to a more tenable goal: to make Mayor Jean Quan's first term a living hell. More than two dozen protesters attempted to overtake City Hall this afternoon, just over 12 hours after a dozen protesters were arrested on the plaza.

News outlets are reporting that pissed off Occupiers tried to make their way into City Hall this afternoon, with plans to occupy Mayor Jean Quan's office for starters. So far protesters have not been successful, but they also aren't giving up.

KTVU reports that at about 2:30 p.m., protesters gathered outside the plaza, chanting "Shut down City Hall." They banged on the doors to the building, demanding the mayor let them inside.
A man inside City Hall reportedly came to the door, and essentially told demonstrators to use their inside voices. The group tried to push through the doors, but were blocked and locked out.

The fed-in-the-head is the reason why such efforts no matter what era fail...the People fail to recognize what the real issue is and sooner than later that issue no matter what it is comes a calling...that´s why I say don´t protest, but, if you must then make it worth your time...the system or whatever it is hasn´t changed one iota in all my years and I have fought against it...continously....nothing, nada, nathan...tht´s sad tht a country tht says it is based upon "democracy and freedom" really is a dictatorial and as draconian as all the dictatroships iot has pawned and sponsored....for over a century...at its inception...
