Mayor Jean Quan Calls on Occupy Wall Street to "Disown" Occupy Oakland

• actually yes - there is footage on the internet to support ALL of the claims made.  i've seen them

• Nice Try, Mayor. You should have considered being nice months ago. Tell you what, you resign, along with all senior members of the Oakland PD, open up investigations into police violence, and then we can come to the table.

• You occupy fools are so fucking paranoid; I don't need to lock my doors but thanks for the advice.  "How are these people scumbags" you ask? You guys are the scuzziest and dumbest excuses for human life there is.

• It sounds to me like you're the one who "misunderstands" the first amendment. Oh, and don't forget the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which was signed by the United States. And how are these people scumbags? Justify this with the list of human casualties caused by the Occupy movement and I will gladly back down. Until then, lock your doors, because according to your last statement, your negligence is no longer protected by your first amendment rights. 

• The rest of the country needs to take a page from the Dallas playbook. We got rid of our occpy problem by out lawyering them.  

• Yeah but ya sure can arrest a bunch of scumbags who misunderstand the first amendment.  I never saw footage of Quan assaulting protesters back in October. Got a link for that? "Unintelligent" claim, to be sure. Oakland PD: Bash some skulls!

• First Quan plants undercover cops to start violence, then she let's her gang of thugs brutalize, terrorize, and shoot protestors -- and it's the _protestor's_ fault?! Crazy NAZI bitch.

• Let me think about this for a minute........ Quan's police dept turned the streets of Oakland into a war zone. Why? To enforce park rules and curfews. The "temporary" police cheif is still in power. The brutality of the police has not been addressed. No charges have been filed against specific police officers for blatant criminal acts seen by millions on the Internet.Now she wonders why the demonstrators are angry? 

• First of all, there are no leaders at OWS. It is a leaderless movement. I don't think they will answer her at all. But they probably will make a statement of support and solidarity with Occupy Oakland. The Mayor can't control her own police force. They are under investigation by the federal government for many months and may be the first police department ever to be taken into "federal receivership".

• The voters elected Quan and elections have consequences. Elect a nonviolent mayor and maybe you will have nonviolence?

• As you have just proven.

• No one forced Quan to assault protesters back in October. This is the result of how she handled that situation. She screwed Oakland by not resigning. You cannot arrest an idea. 

• Assumption always roots out the unintelligent. 

• She can call me. I was voted Grand Poobah and Head Dance Instructor at Occupy Congress.

• The occupiers want lawlessness but they can't even control their own mob.

• The Oakland police are just inviting criminals and looters with their absurd response to the protest.  Maybe it's time to look in the mirror, Quan, instead of blaming others for your mistake?

• How about Occupy Oakland "disown" the criminals amongst them.... Just like the City of Oakland does. There are criminals in #OO only to the extent there are criminals in Oakland proper. It's almost as if Quan wants to "disown" her own city. Try removing the criminals before attacking the protesters.
