Nearly two years to the day after 83-year-old Huan Chen was beaten to death in the Bayview neighborhood, police are reminding people that there is a $100,000 reward being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killers.

Police have no new leads or detailed descriptions of the teens who senselessly beat Chen to death as he walked from Muni on Jan. 24, 2010. However, Sgt. Michael Andraychak told SF Weekly that officers will hand out flyers again tomorrow.

"It's the anniversary of the incident, and we are trying to bring it into the public attention. We are hoping someone will come forward," he said.

Chen was on his way home at about 6 p.m. when he was jumped by a group of boys near Oakdale Avenue near Third Street. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he died from head trauma more than two months later.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call the S.F.P.D. anonymous tip line at 575-4444, or text a tip to TIP41.
