DJ Toph One: Benefits to be Held for Cyclist Hurt in Hit-and-Run

Friends have created a Facebook page, where fans can drop a note of support for Evans, who was struck Sunday in a hit-and-run accident.
According to Facebook, a benefit is planned at Public Works on Jan. 20 at 9 p.m., which will feature sets by J Boogie, Chris Orr, B Cause -- and more. Another event is being held at Som Bar on Jan. 22, with Sake One, DJ Stef, Doc Fu, and Rascue.
Both events will accept donations and a percentage of bar sales will go toward Evans' recovery.
Evans was hit on Sunday around midnight as he rode his bike in the Ingleside neighborhood. According to police, Evans was hit by a car after he fell from his bike at the corner of Ocean and Geneva.
The driver sped off, leaving Evans seriously injured.
Although firefighters nearby witnessed the accident, there is no vehicle description and police have no details on the driver.
