Police Need Help Finding Robbers Who Beat Man to Near Death
| SFPD needs your help |
On Oct. 11, at about 5 p.m., the 31-year-old victim was walking at Ellis and Jones streets when the suspects approached him and started beating him. They took his cellphone and his money, and left him bleeding in the street.
An hour later, the victim's friend found him on the street. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Although he has since recovered, police are issuing an alert to the public to help find the two suspects.
"We don't have much more [information] than what we sent out," said Officer Albie Esparza. Investigators are "hoping witnesses will come forwards or leads."
Anyone with information is asked to call the San Francisco Police Anonymous Tip Line at 575-4444 or use Text-A-Tip to "TIP411."
