Muni Collides with Yet Another Vehicle Today
| This is not the accident from today |
Just a few short hours after Muni cleared an accident on the Third Street T line, where a police patrol car and train collided, a K-line light rail vehicle hit a car in the Mission Bay neighborhood.
According to Muni spokesman Paul Rose, the two vehicles collided at about 9:13 a.m. right on King and Third streets. The train was out of service until about 9:40 a.m., when the accident was clear, Rose said.
There were no injuries.
Muni set up a bus bridge to supplement service through the morning, Rose said.
At about 5:45 a.m., a police patrol car collided with an outbound Muni streetcar on Third and 22nd streets. Four people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries, including two cops and the Muni operator. A passenger was treated for minor injuries, Rose said.
Both accidents are being investigated.
