Suspect and a mom
Giselle Esteban, the 27-year-old Union City woman accused of killing her former high school friend, Michelle Le,  is a new mother.

Esteban, who appeared in court today, but did not enter a plea, gave birth to a baby boy right before Thanksgiving, according to the Chron. A source told reporters that Esteban was taken to the hospital to give birth and then taken back to jail where she has been since her arrest on Sept. 7.

It's not known who is taking care of the boy.

Le was last seen on May 26 at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward where she was part of a mentoring program for nursing school. She left the building at about 7 p.m. to take a break and never returned. Police traced her car to a residential street about a half-mile from the hospital; the doors were locked and Le's blood was found inside.

Police immediately questioned Esteban, a former high school friend, who openly admitted to the press that she hated Le for stealing her boyfriend. Nearly four months after Le went missing, police arrested Esteban, saying the evidence pointed to her. They found surveillance footage showed her in the hospital parking lot with Le on the evening that Le disappeared, and police later confirmed that Le's DNA was found on Esteban's shoes.

Le's body was found a few weeks later in Sunol Canyon in Alameda County.

What a blessing that someone else will be mothering that child.  RIP Michelle Le ... thankful to know you are dancing in heaven with the angels while the Esteban beast lives a miserable life on earth awaiting her punishment of eternal torment, agony and anguish ...

Hopefully "mommy" never got to hold this child and the child will be adopted soon.
