Be careful on the Bay Bridge!
The typical fall fog will be blown away by atypical fall winds starting tomorrow morning, bringing that Wizard of Oz effect to San Francisco. According to the National Weather Service the dense fog that's cut visibility to less than a half-mile in many areas will be replaced by fierce gusts reaching 40 to 50 mph in San Francisco and 55 to 70 mph in the East Bay hills.
Once the weird weather settles by Friday, the city will be calmed by crisp temperatures and clear skies, just in time for the weekend.
