Bad accident ... be careful out there
Police are advising motorists that Geary Boulevard near 10th Avenue is closed after a car hit a pedestrian this morning.

There was very little information at publication time, but according to Officer Albie Esparza, the driver hit the pedestrian, a 70-year-old man who is suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim was hit at about 7:56 a.m. at Geary Boulevard and 10 Avenue.

"I am expecting the area to be shut down for quite sometime. I don't have an estimate at this point," Esparza told us.

Eastbound Geary Boulevard between Ninth and 11th avenues is closed to traffic. Also, 10th Avenue between Clement and Anza streets is closed, Esparza said.

Erin: Will you commit to keeping up with demanding that charges be filed against this driver, just like you did the bicyclist that killed that woman?
