Kevin Guerin, Man Accused of Trying to Drill Brother's Head, Beat Neighbor for Being a "Fag"
| Wonder what Thanksgiving was like at the Guerin's house? |
According to Omid Talai, spokesman for the DA's Office, Guerin had been released on a $150,000 bail on Oct. 11 and went to stay with his older brother on the 100 block of Judson Avenue. The two brothers were repairing a door latch when they got into a fight and Guerin took the hand drill to his brother's forehead and revved it.
His brother, 61, fought Guerin off of him and the two got into a physical altercation, which ended when Guerin took the drill and hit his brother in the face multiple times. He was taken to the hospital and treated for face lacerations, according to police.
Four days before the Oct. 16 attack on his brother, Guerin was in jail on assault charges after he allegedly choked and punched his neighbor on the 300 block of Seneca Avenue.
As he was beating the victim, who had visible injuries, Guerin purportedly told the man: "Do you know why I am going to kill you? Because you are a fag." Guerin, who was also charged with a hate crime, is currently undergoing a mental health evaluation.
