Today's commute is kinda like Cairo
If you are an East Bay resident trying to get to San Francisco this morning, good luck. Not only is traffic at a standstill on the Bay Bridge, but BART is reporting delays of its own.

A motorcycle crashed on the bridge's S-curve at about 6 a.m., causing the closure of two lanes of westbound traffic. Crews have cleared the accident, but the delays are still painful.

That was after a big-rig crashed at about 2 a.m on westbound I-80 near Vallejo, sending 2,500 chickens -- some dead, some alive -- across two lanes of traffic.

If you are thinking BART might be a better option, well, the commute is slow there as well. The transit agency is reporting 10-minute delays systemwide after an unidentified person was reportedly spotted on the tracks in West Oakland.

Police have been inspecting the tracks, which has trains backed up, according to BART.
