Arrest made in Hells Angels slaying
UCSF police last night arrested an alleged motorcycle gang member on suspicion of shooting and killing the president of the San Jose Hells Angels while at a casino in Nevada last week.

Ernesto Manuel Gonzalez, who is purportedly a member of the Vagos motorcycle gang, was taken into custody at about 8:20 p.m. on Thursday after UCSF officers spotted him a block from the police headquarters. He was inside a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu with Washington plates, acting nervously, according to media reports.

Police approached him, asked for his license and when they ran his name, both police and Gonzalez learned that he was wanted in Nevada. Police say Gonzalez, 53, shot Jeffrey Pettigrew, also called Jethro, four times in the back while at John Ascuaga's Nugget casino in Sparks in what might have been a shootout between the outlaw motorcycle clubs.

Gonzalez is in San Francisco awaiting Nevada police who have been looking for him since the fatal shooting last Friday.
