S.F. Woman's Airbnb Burglary Dramatized in Weird Taiwanese Animation

Categories: Crime, Media, Tech

Yesterday we reported on a San Francisco woman's horror story of being burglarized by strangers who rented her apartment through Airbnb, the local startup that connects hosts with travelers who want to pay to stay at private homes instead of hotels. The news came after Airbnb announced earlier this week that it has raised an additional $112 million in investment money, and now boasts a $1.3 billion valuation.

Far be it from us to make light of anyone's misfortune. But the wacky Taiwanese animation company, Next Media Animation, has produced a short film based on the victim's story. NMA, you'll recall, is the same company that produced bizarre computer-generated cartoons depicting the misfortunes of such celebrities as Charlie Sheen and Tiger Woods. Watch the video above.
