'Pervert' Accused of Filming Up Women's Skirts at Marin Farmers' Market

What's with all the holes?
Summertime means warm weather, nice days at the beach, and women in dresses. A Marin County man is in jail today after he allegedly used his sandal to film up women's skirts and dresses at a farmers' market in Fairfax.

New outlets are reporting that 26-year-old Nicholas Springer of San Rafael tucked a video camera into his Croc sandal and headed to the downtown market on Wednesday afternoon. The manager of the market saw him walk around and place his foot underneath various women's dresses, between their legs.

He did this to 35 women -- maybe even more, according to news outlets.
The manager called police who found a small recording device the size of a credit card in Springer's sandal. Police reviewed footage and saw he had recorded women at the market, grocery store, and a nearby coffee shop, KTVU reports.

Fairfax Police Chief Chris Morin went as far as to say Springer was a pervert and that he "didn't want the man around town."

Springer has been charged with a misdemeanor; however, this could be upgraded to a felony, given the high number of victims.

This is sick. It is also sick that "Sudosurfer" is trying to stand up for someone who would do a perverted thing. I don't care if he is your friend, your family member, or  you lover. This is clearly a sick man.

Truth speaks the Truth.  It appears from other articles on this blog that Sudosurfer is Nicholas Charles Springer's mother, and apparently feels comfortable defending his photographing of unsuspecting women's genitals in public places.  Perhaps Nick Springer's mother would not care if her daughter was victimized in such a way.

Again, please call Cafe Gratitude in San Rafael, or email the manager at anna@cafegratitude.com to inquire as to why they are employing a convicted sexual predator.

Agreed.  It is absolutely shameful that Cafe Gratitude in San Rafael is employing Nicholas Charles Springer, if it is.  Please call or email the manager at anna@cafegratitude.com.

The first comment was not from me.  I am new to this forum and somehow got attributed to that comment...  It didn't look like it had been posted and I was trying to post another comment, which is below.

Well, "THE SNITCH" is a good title for your column, as snitches are the lowest form of scum imaginable.  You know NOTHING about what you speak...  If, in fact, the Fairfax Police Chief said what you quoted him as saying, I will hit him with a slander suit in a NY minute. He is obviously new to Fairfax, or he would know that Nick is the farthest thing from a pervert there is, and that Nick has given more to that community than Chris Morin ever has.  I just now read this article, and believe me, I am following up on this one.

A slander suit?  You must be kidding.  Regardless of what Nick Springer "has given" to the community, he is a sexual predator who filmed up the skirts of at least 35 women in Marin County.  How can you defend such scum?  If he has other redeeming qualities, they have nothing to do with this crime.  You are doing him no favors -- if you are his mom (or him?), you should hang your head in shame and encourage him to get counseling.

Where did you get your information that the Police Chief of Fairfax said, " he was a pervert and that he didn't want the man arount town".?  Also, the # of people allegedly videotaped has nothing to do with upgrading to a felony.  The charge is a misdemeanor.  Get your facts straight, or shut the %$#@ up.

Sudosurfer:  You seem rather defensive -- what, are you Nick Springer's mom or friend or something?  Whatever the charge he eventually pled guilty to, Springer was caught in the act by a uniformed police officer.  He got off way too easy.
