The mystery over what happened to 26-year-old Michelle Hoang Thi Le deepened over the weekend after the nursing student never showed up in Reno, where she was supposed to meet friends for the holiday.

Her brother, Michael Le, was too devastated to talk to reporters, but last night he finally spoke, telling the media that the family has posted a $20,000 reward for any information that would lead to her safe return.

She took a break from her mentoring program at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward at about 7 p.m. Friday. That was the last time she was seen. Media outlets are reporting that surveillance footage shows her car leaving the parking garage at the hospital. The car was later found less than half a mile away on a residential street. The doors were locked, and a laptop was inside.

Nobody has seen or heard from her since.

Le's father, who lives in Vietnam, is traveling to San Francisco to look for his daughter, who is set to graduate from Oakland's Samuel Merritt University nursing school next year.

Police have very little clues. They tracked Le's cellphone and came up with no useful information, according to media reports.

"It's been really crazy, because you just don't know what happened; it could be really good news or it could be really bad news, we really don't know. It's really hard not to assume the worst, but we're trying," Michael Le told ABC News.

Le's disappearance comes less than a week after Danville teen Allison Bayliss went missing. Last Tuesday, police found her purple and black Diamondback bike locked up at Crissy Field in San Francisco. Video surveillance recorded her walking onto the Golden Gate Bridge at about 10 a.m. Police assume she jumped to her death and are now looking for Bayliss' body.
