Mob justice would put people like this up against the wall and shot, not caring about his constitutional rights. Innocent until proven guilty. I am curious what the prosecution's evidence is. I work for the county, the Probation Department. To those who think that just because he has a probation/parole officer, that he's legal, let me educate you. Just because a criminal has a probation/parole officer or has gone to prison, DOES NOT mean they have legal status. We have many offenders in our case load who happen to be illegals. The system just does not deport, because it all depends on the severity of the crime. In this case, it he is illega, then deporting him would all depend on the gravity of the offense, his punishment here, and I am positive they will keep him here, even if he is an illegal, because it would be better to punshi him here, rather than deporting him back to his country of origin, where there's a good chance of him returning and commiting another crime.

It's too bad that this turned into a racial issue. I hope the Stowe family gets through and that Bryan recovers.

The attack on Bryan Stow is a true living horror--for both Bryan and his family and friends--as it is for all of us. But we all need to be cautious until the police file charges and the jury can hear the evidence in the Court of law. I think that everyone is looking too much into the issue of race here. What a mediator would be able to get across is that Mexicans were indeed here first but whites have done a hell of a job innovating a technologically advanced society. Giovanni Ramirez has not yet been convicted of a crime. Yes, the tattoo is almost as bad as when I heard of a serial killer who got a teardrop tattooed below his eye before a jury had even returned a guilty verdict. Things look awfully bad for him. But the reality is that this has little to with illegal aliens and more to do with someone who has a lengthy rap sheet who is, for some mysterious reason, back on the street.

All that talk about the Southwest once being Mexican is quite old and tired. Mexico lost the Southwest because it was not able to defend it, because it didn't have the social, economic, political or military structures to defend it, because the Apaches (Chiricauas, Comanches, etc.) of Arizona and New Mexico continuously raided, first, Spanish, later, Mexican settlements in the Mexican states of Sonora and Chihuahua, and so neither established strong settlements along the Gila or Grande rivers. When the war with the U.S. came, it was easy pickins' for the Americans. It's old history, really, I mean, I don't hear the Spanish crying over having lost their possessions in Latin America, nor Portugal over losing Brazil... History happens, get used to it.

Giovanni Ramirez who is living in Los Angeles was caught for the crime of assault with a deadly weapon for the beating into a coma of Bryan Stow, a 42-year-old father of two from Santa Cruz, California.

The news noticed they caught him, the noticed he beat a father of 2 into a coma at a Dodgers game, they just didn’t notice he is a member of Varrio Nuevo Estrada Mexican street gang. They also didn’t seem to notice the 60%+ likeliness that this makes him an illegal alien, and the 90%+ likeliness that hes at minimum an anchor baby.

If crimes were committed equally among races, the race of the criminal would never be an issue. But some races have an extremely high percentage of their members committing violence and crimes, when compared to other races. That's your answer, so the "racism," while uncouth, IS based in reality.

While there may be truth IN racism, what everyone likes to ignore is the fact that the way society has been structured since this country was built has been centered around whites on top and everyone on some sort of racial hierarchy below. So, in order to say that racism is based in reality, you have to ignore the fact that this system of racial hierarchy is not something that is "natural," it is something that the Europeans imposed from Day 1 in this country and has thus created niches for each successive race coming to this country to fall into. Not to say that a non-white person has NO control over their actions, but they very often have an entirely different level of the societal structure in which to conduct their behavior. That is a constructed playing field that whites have engineered and institutionalized in order to make life better for them, and them only. Just because the kids themselves grew up a certain way does not remove the generations of exposure to the system that their relatives most likely have had, and these are the people that they are supposed to look to as role models. There really don't exist any accepted scientific studies that show any relationship between different mental capacities between races. What you're trying to show is that there is a mental disparity between the races. No one is arguing against a physical difference. We all know that the color of each person's skin is a direct result of the melanin their ancestors were exposed to on a daily basis over the centuries. Let's not try to extrapolate that and attribute it to a man-made system that continuously affects everyone involved.

I live in a predominately white area, and the minorities who live in the area are just as well-off as the white people, and they grew up here. Nearly all the young minorities (teens into 20s) have been arrested for violent crimes, drugs, breaking into houses. I'm not saying white kids don't do this, as some have, but nearly all the minorities have. The "system is keeping us down, maaaaan" excuse doesn't fully explain it. There are physical differences between the races. Why is it so hard to accept that physical differences can generally exist between races in the body, but not in the mind (which is, after all, also part of the physical body)?
