Osama's dead and to prove it ... the suitcase is empty!
The news of Osama bin Laden's death wouldn't be real without transit delays. Specifically, Muni delays.

We would have gotten this news to you sooner, but your author was also stuck at the Embarcadero station for a lengthy period of time, waiting for the trains to move.

But we digress. Here is what happened.

A suspicious object resembling a suitcase was found outside an Inner Sunset convenient store at about 7:20 a.m.at Eighth Avenue and Irving Street. The SFPD bomb squad was on the scene by 8:30 a.m., cordoned off the area and shut down the N Judah line.

By 9:20 a.m., police had determined that the suitcase was empty and there was nothing to be afraid of -- not even Osama bin Laden.
