If you are too drunk to read this, then you are definitely too drunk to dirve
Memorial Day weekend is here, as is the Mission's Carnaval, and so are the sobriety checkpoints to make sure you don't drive after knocking back one too many Coronas.

This weekend of enhanced enforcement in the city starts Friday with a sobriety checkpoint on the Embarcadero at Washington. It begins at 8:30 p.m. and will continue into the wee hours of Saturday morning.

Last Memorial Day weekend, the DUI crackdown snagged 26 drunkards --  and police will be out in force again this year, even after Friday night.

Captain Al Casciato, commander of the San Francisco Police Department's traffic company, says Health Department statistics show that 25 percent of all injuries and deaths in San Francisco are tracable to car crashes

So don't become a stat (there is an app for that), and don't end up with a DUI. But still ... have fun.

And be safe!
