But now we have to report more sad news. Doctors in Los Angeles now say that Stow has not been responding as he should, and he must have more surgery to drain the fluid that has been causing his brain to swell.
According to his family, who posted the news on his Web site, www.support4bryanstow.com, a shunt needs to be put into his cranium at the center of his brain and "will be snaked down through his stomach to drain."
Stow has been in a coma since March 31, when he was brutally beaten outside Dodger Stadium. He was leaving the opener game when two men wearing Dodgers attire attacked him, beating him until he was unconscious. He has been in critical condition at a Los Angeles hospital since.
Meanwhile, police have been on the hunt for the two men responsible for the attack, offering a $150,000 reward for information leading to their arrest.
