Only in San Francisco would a group of activists pay to protest President Barack Obama.

Oakland activist Naomi Pitcairn personally shelled out $76,000 for a group of antiwar activists to access Obama's Thursday morning fund-raiser at the St. Regis Hotel so that they could, well, protest.

According to media outlets, Pitcairn is part of the Fresh Juice Party, which disrupted the event this morning with an a cappella song with lyrics: "We paid our dues ... where's our change?"

Specifically, the group showed up to protest the treatment of Bradley Manning, the American soldier who was arrested on suspicion of leaking information to WikiLeaks.
Pitcairn interrupted the president's speech, telling him that the group had a song for him. He asked her to wait, but they ignored him and broke into song. True to form, the president listened patiently and then thanked the group.

"Where was I?" he said, and picked up where he left off in his speech.
