Leland Yee Gets Another Threatening Fax

Attracts all kinds of attention

​SF Weekly readers might recall the death threat that was faxed to State Sen. Leland Yee earlier this year after he called on conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh to apologize for mocking Asians on his show.

It wasn't the first time Yee, who is running for San Francisco mayor, had received such a notice --  and apparently it wasn't to be the last. He says he got another mean and threatening missive this morning that called him an "Obama ass sniffing fish head."
The fax depicts an image of a monkey with a circle an a line through it. Below the picture, it says, "The Marxist chimp must go."

Yee's office says the fax has been turned over to the California Highway Patrol and the Sergeant at Arms.

In January, the high-profile senator publicly demanded that Limbaugh apologize for mocking Chinese President Hu Jintao's speech during a trip to the United States. If you recall, Limbaugh took his usual lowbrow antics and imitated the president's speech by making up what he thought sounded like Chinese language. His unintelligible diatribe lasted 35 seconds.

A Limbaugh supporter then sent Yee the following fax: "FIGHTING The Marxist Nigger Thug Hussein Obama & Fish Head Leeland Yee To: JoBama Rectum Sniffing Moron LEELAND LEE Achtung! Fish Head Leeland Lee. Rush Limbaugh will kick your Chink ass and expose you for the fool you are. Without exceptions, Marxists are enemies of the United States Constitution! Death to all Marxists! Foreign and Domestic!"

The faxes included an American-flag-adorned pickup truck dragging a noose. Yee started an online petition, demanding companies that advertise on Limbaugh's show pull their support.
