Buster Posey to Hand out Giants Tickets at Bank of America
| Buster Posey |
So what does Posey have to do with BofA? It turns out the bank has hired this beloved Giant to do some PR stunt-work on its behalf.
"To thank customers for their business in unexpected ways, Bank of America has invited San Francisco Giant Buster Posey to surprise customers at select banking centers around the city," bank officials announced in a statement today.
Posey will appear at these locations on Thursday morning, and will hand out tickets to upcoming games as well as "other baseball-themed items." For those of you thinking about trolling some local Bank of America branches in hopes of seeing Posey, the giveaways will take place from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Sounds like a fun idea. But we'll note in passing that if BofA were truly committed to "San Francisco values," it would have hired The Machine.
UPDATE: A spokesperson informs us that Posey will now be making the rounds at local banks from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
