Nothing gun shy about the Mission District
Police are investigating a multiple shooting in the Mission District late Monday night that left one with life-threatening injuries.

Media outlets are reporting that the shooting happened at about 11 p.m. at El Tin Tan Bar, located 3065 16th Street.

One man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The the other four victims are expected to survive, police said.
Today, the Examiner tells us about how increased police enforcement has averted the gang violence in the Mission District.

Not so fast.

Cops are investigating whether last night's shooting is related to the spike in gang violence between Surenos and Nortenos in the neighborhood.

They have not indicated a possible motive for the shooting.
