Find the Best of San Francisco on Your iPhone

Categories: Tech

If you've ever been out and about and wondered where to find the best place to grab a good gin and tonic or get your bike fixed, as chosen by seasoned pros like ourselves, you're in luck. We've just launched a free iPhone app that takes all the goodness of our Best Of issues and crams it into your pants (or purse).

Users can also browse through 32 other cities, including Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago, and find more than 10,000 items to check out. Here in SF you can use it find our picks, including Best Black-and-White Photobooth (RayKo Photo Center) and Best Chance to Watch Tomorrow's NBA Superstars for Free (Kezar Pavilion).

If you're just looking for something nearby, the app will lead to the best places that are closest. You can sort by neighborhood and quickly see, for example, the decent spots for chow where you are or where you plan to be. Finally, you can check in via Facebook once you've found the perfect spot.

Head to the iTunes store to see the app for yourself, or search for "Best Of" in the App Store. For those of you with Android phones, we'll have an app for you in April. In the meantime, non-iPhone users and desktop folks can check out our mobile Best Of... site.
