S.F Should Give Up -- It's Not Going to Snow

All week, forecasters and hyped-up news stories predicted snow by Friday. As of Friday morning, temperatures were indeed chilly, but we only saw rays of sun. By the late afternoon the mercury had dropped to 44 degrees Fahrenheit -- but still no rain or snow.
There were scattered reports of sleet in Santa Rosa and a "few ice pellets" 30 miles south of San Francisco in Burlingame, which by the way meteorologists don't count as snow fall.
Yet forecasters and reporters are still trying to keep us hanging onto that ever-so-slight chance that we will see a white flurry this weekend. "It would be nice, I would love to have it happen," said Chris Stump, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Yes, it would be great to see snow, but your humble narrator isn't holding her breath, and instead is taking off to Tahoe this weekend, where we know for a fact there will be snow.
