Donald Rumsfeld Calls Oakland Raiders 'Evil'

It's true the Raiders have maintained a wild, outlaw image dating back to the 1970s, with eccentric oddball players, including Jack "The Assassin" Tatum. But let's not forget Rumsfeld's own outlaw image with his shock and awe bombing campaign during the Iraq War. Or that he responded to the looting in Baghdad, saying "stuff happens."
While one could accuse Raiders owner Al Davis of looting Oakland, we'd hope that city's politicos could come up with better retorts than "stuff happens."

"Is our country and region better off with Saddam Hussein gone?" Rumsfeld asks Gideon Rachman of the Financial Times, before answering his own question. "You bet."
Rusmfeld wrapped up the interview talking about football; it was Super Bowl Sunday and he asked Rachman whether he was for the Steelers or the Packers. Rachman responds that he likes the Steelers, "because of the epic games against the Oakland Raiders in the 1970s."
To which the man who famously shook Saddam's hand responded: "Nobody could support the Raiders. They're evil."
