Watch your back or pay the price
Some criminal tried to rip off Bank of America customers using street smarts that didn't pay off.

At about 3 p.m. on Friday, a bank employee called police to report the ATM on the 1200 block of Fell Street had been vandalized, using a low-tech scam to steal cash from customers.

Someone had put glue on the ATM buttons, which often makes the card stick. The thief will typically stand behind a customer at the ATM, watching as they continuously punch in their pin code.

When the ATM fails to work, and the customer can't get their card back, they might go inside to ask a bank teller for help.

And that's when the thief will attack. When the customer is gone, the thief will remove money from the victim's bank account, police said.

And considering all you need is glue and basic counting skills, this thief could be a second grader.
