At about 9:40 a.m., two men got off a Muni bus at the corner of 16th and Folsom streets and got into an argument with a group of African American males. As they fought, one of the men pulled out a gun and fired several rounds, aiming at the two victims who had just gotten off the bus, police said.
One of the victims, who has not been identified, was shot and taken to San Francisco General Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Witnesses called police and gave a description of the shooter. Officers canvassed the neighborhood and eventually located the three suspects, a 16-year-old San Francisco resident, a 16-year-old Pittsburgh resident, and a 17-year-old Hayward resident, who police identified as the alleged shooter.
He was charged with attempted murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and carrying a loaded firearm.
