Police Collar Man Robbing Official Police Clothier

Police nabbed an as-yet unidentified man as he was purportedly robbing Galls on Cesar Chavez -- the official clothier of the San Francisco Police Department.
The burglar was found amidst bulletproof vests, batons, and other police items, SF Weekly has learned.
Galls personnel confirmed the break-in, but deferred comments to the regional office of uniform giant Aramark. As that regional office is in Long Beach -- and the offices are closed Jan. 3 -- that was not much help.
Police spokesman Officer Eric Chiang confirmed that the twentysomething Samoan male was caught on-scene with "vests and some items" dumped on the ground near his feet. A car was seen leaving the area, but police are unsure if it was an accomplice, or just a taxi.
Chiang, who has worked out of Bayview for eight years, said this is the first robbery attempt at Galls he's heard of.
Wonder why?
