Man Shot This Morning in Mission District

Police are corralling reporters to the Mission District to give details on a shooting that occurred earlier this morning.

Officer Albie Esparza says that a shooting occurred on the corner of Folsom and 16th streets at about 10 a.m.

He had no more details at this time. Check back for updates.

Update:

Police say two men were riding a Muni bus and got off at the corner of 16th and Folsom streets. They got into a fight with another group of men on the corner. One of the suspects fired several rounds, shooting at the two victims who had been on the bus, police said.

The bullets hit one of the men and a parked car nearby. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
