Red Meat Is Bad For Your Heart and Your Criminal Record
A man caught stealing meat from a grocery store, apparently didn't have the heart to carry through with the crime.

At about 9:20 a.m. on Jan. 13, police were called to a grocery store on the 4900 block of Mission Street after getting reports of a man shoplifting food.

When police arrived, the victim told police that he saw the man enter the store and put various meats and coffee in his cart.

The suspect then walked over to what he thought was a secluded area and put the food items in his jacket, according to police reports.

The man then walked out of the store without paying, police said.

The man was detained outside the store. When officers arrived, they ran a check on the suspect and discovered he had previously been convicted for theft.

At that time, the man suffered a heart attack and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital while he was still booked for the felony arrest.

Hopefully, his doctor reminded him to stay away from the red meat.
