Eric Mar is ready for his close-up!
After poking fun at San Francisco's Happy Meal Ban not once but twice, The Daily Show took the next natural step: It had the creator of the ban, Supervisor Eric Mar, on the air.

Our calls to the District 1 supe to see how it went haven't yet been returned. But it would seem he was interviewed in his office for what we can only assume is a segment relating to his Happy Meal Ban -- or, perhaps, Mar's legislation ensuring The Richmond District is called The Richmond District or his work introducing a "Resolution endorsing the first World March for Peace and Nonviolence, calling for the end of war and nuclear arms, and the elimination of violence of all kinds." You never know.

Here's Mar's own play-by-play via Supervisor Facebook's Facebook page:

Best of luck to Eric Mar. He'll need it. San Francisco supervisors on national cable shows have fared about as well as the city's pro-McDonald's lobby.
