Caltrain Joins Twitter -- @Caltrain Handle Already Taken

Look! An @Caltrain ... er, @CTWkendBullets!

​In hopes of pulling riders off the internet and onto a baby bullet, Caltrain has broken out Twitter and Facebook accounts. Sadly for the rail service, however, the train has already left the station when it comes to snatching up the Twitter handle @Caltrain.

That Twitter account is actually a rider-run service meant to make up for Caltrain's alleged shortcomings when it comes to providing real-time updates. And, at least so far, lots more eyeballs are on the independent @Caltrain than the in-house @CTwkendBullets.

Some 5,206 followers are monitoring @Caltrain. Only 28 are following @CTwkndBullets.

Finally, an answer for Shakespeare's famous query. What's in a name? About 5,200 Twitter followers.
