A Cartier watch like this will cost you more than $6,700 at Tourneau -- but it's free if you steal it
A trio of robbers, armed with a hammer and pepper spray, hit the Tourneau store in the Westfield Mall Tuesday, making off with 19 watches valued at $55,000.

The suspects pepper-sprayed a store employee before shattering a display case at around 10:45 a.m. The watches they scooped out ranged in value from $425 on the low end to $7,850 (hell, you could buy two watches for that). The robbers fled the mall and escaped in a black Pontiac Grand Prix waiting outside on busy Market Street.

All three suspects are unidentified at this point. A Tourneau employee told SF Weekly the pepper-sprayed worker "is doing fine"; he was treated on-scene following the robbery.

Some unspecified items of interest pertaining to the case were collected from the store, says San Francisco Police spokeswoman Lieutenant Lyn Tomioka.

Two of the suspects are described as black men in their 20s; there is no description for the third.
