Supe Races Over: Tony Kelly Concedes to Malia Cohen in District 10

Quelle désastre!
With yesterday's concessions by District 2 candidate Janet Reilly and District 10's Tony Kelly, the San Francisco supervisorial races are, at long last, kaput.

The new supervisors on the 2011 board will be Jane Kim, Scott Wiener, Mark Farrell, and Malia Cohen. As for how this will shake out in the selection of the next mayor or the next board president (which could end up being the same thing), well, Dwight Eisenhower "speculated" about Earl Warren.

Here's some interesting stuff, though:

  • Board President David Chiu can't be displeased that new supes will include his former roommate and friend, Kim, and Cohen -- whom he also endorsed.

  • The Democratic County Central Committee went 0-for-4 in its endorsements for contested supes races.

  • The Guardian's cover boys and gals, Rafael Mandelman, Debra Walker, and Kelly, all have to get back to their day jobs.
