A San Francisco police officer responding to an attempted arson call guessed he had the right suspect when he came across a woman with "fresh paint on her shoes and a lighter in her hand" Monday.

While one officer talked with the subject, other police and firefighters made their way through a house in the 300 block of Park. The garage was doused in paint thinner and fresh paint -- matching that on the woman's shoes -- was splattered on the walls.

The woman was arrested before any situations involving a lighter and a paint thinner-inundated garage could play out.

The woman was booked on an attempted arson charge.

No word on what she was doing in the garage.
