Muni Passenger Battles With Robber Over Stolen $10

The victim, listed only as a 22-year-old Hispanic man, was waiting for a bus at Third and Innes Monday evening, when he took his wallet out of his pocket to remove a fare payment. At this point, a robber described by police as a 40-year-old Hispanic woman chose to remove a bit more from the man's wallet, allegedly filching $10. Combat ensued.
Police arrested the accused pickpocket, charging her with "robbery with force." The man refused treatment for his injuries. The injuries incurred by the hurled cell phone are not yet known.
